National Day of Resentment 30th April, 42 years Fall of Saigon

APRIL 30th, NATIONAL RESENTMENT DAY is a commemorative Day for the Fall of Saigon or the Loss of South Vietnam (Republic of Vietnam) into the hands of Vietnamese Communists. It is a meaningful Day when all Vietnamese communities in the USA as well as Vietnamese refugees around the world have yearly commemorated this historical-tragic day with religious ceremonies or memorial services to pray for those who have sacrificed their lives for freedom in Vietnam War, such as 58,000 fallen American soldiers, more than three hundred thousand of fallen ARVN (Army of Republic of Vietnam) fighters and millions of people being massacred by Vietnamese Communists. On that commemoration day, we also reserve a minute of silence to pay tribute to and honor American and Vietnamese heroes who have died, wounded or still alive due to the result of Communist invasions.
Deep hatred against Vietnamese Communists is because of their violation of 1973 Paris Peace Accord, and brutal, hostile treatment to South Vietnamese such as properties confiscation, revenge, imprisonment and mass murder that caused an unprecedented tragedy of Vietnamese deadly exodus.
30-4, National Resentment is also a painful Day for Vietnamese people in memory of the most historical tragic aftermath of 30-4-75, as millions of boat people who risked their lives on “Journey For Freedom” in the immense Pacific Ocean, resulting in hundreds of thousands, drowned in deep high sea, and never having opportunities to reach the shore of freedom.
“April Thirtieth National Day of Resentment” is an occasion to condemn the Communist Party of Vietnam for not only its crimes against humanity, genocide and atrocity, but also for lost land and sea and driving the country to bankruptcy and potential expansionist Beijing domination as well.
Additionally, The Deep Resentment Day is still an insult to the “so-called Liberation Day” that the Socialist Republic of Vietnam celebrates every year in Vietnam. Accordingly, Hanoi brutal authorities are seeking to manipulate overseas Vietnamese opportunists for lobbying to overturn or erase the April 30th, National Day of Resentment, which they fear for harming their foreign relation affairs or global trade ties issue.
The Vietnamese people in both South and North Vietnam have now resented deeply this brutal regime. “April 30th National Resentment Day” is a historical event and also a significant title, which has provoked solidarity struggle sentiment more than any other title or name. Therefore, South Vietnamese just want to keep the name of “April 30th NATIONAL RESENTMENT DAY” as it has ever been. Certainly, there will be no other designation or recognition for this day that can be able to reflect the meaning of 30-4-75 event as chosen by South Vietnamese or Vietnamese refugees worldwide.
