Representing the groom's family was Mr. Hai Tran, while Mr. Han Au from the bride's family took on the role of MC, leading the ceremony warmly and respectfully. The exchange of wedding vows and the symbolic offerings were made with sincerity, filling everyone's hearts. The bride appeared radiant, and the groom stood happily by her side. The ring exchange and family introductions took place in a joyful atmosphere, further connecting both families.
Following the ring ceremony, everyone enjoyed a light meal at the bride’s home. The main dish, a golden roast pig brought by the groom's family, symbolized blessings and prosperity, while the rest of the food, lovingly prepared by the bride's family, carried the comforting flavors of their hometown.
As we shared the meal, laughter and conversations filled the air, creating a warm and intimate setting for both families. Bonds were strengthened, and the genuine joy was palpable. At noon, the wedding rituals were completed, wrapping up a meaningful morning full of shared happiness.
At 2 p.m., the wedding mass and nuptial ceremony began at St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth, Texas. In a solemn and sacred atmosphere, family, friends, and the newlyweds gathered in love and faith before God.
The officiating priest opened with a profound sermon on the meaning of marriage, reminding us that, “What God has joined together, let no one separate.” He emphasized that the couple was now united as one, and that their love should be nurtured with care, understanding, and sacrifice. The mass concluded at 3 p.m., as everyone left the church with joy, anticipating the evening celebration.
By 6 p.m., family and friends had started gathering at Thanh Thanh restaurant in Arlington, Texas. Although the program was set for 7 p.m., in the spirit of the humorous saying, “If it’s not delayed, it’s not Vietnamese,” the start was postponed until 7:30 p.m. The brief wait didn’t bother anyone; all were eager to catch up and share in the joy of this special day.
At 7:35 p.m., with everyone seated, the microphone came to life. The MC, a charming “one-man band,” warmly greeted the couple, their families, and the guests, promising a memorable evening. The opening act was a welcoming entrance by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, set to classic love songs from the 1960s, evoking fond memories and warming the hearts of many.
As the bride and groom made their appearance, they stood close, sharing a look full of love, as cheers and congratulations filled the hall. The warm glow of small candle lights spread throughout the hall, adding a magical, heartfelt touch to the ceremony, leaving each guest with a sense of connection and love.
As the live music continued, the feast began, with an array of dishes that offered a rich, flavorful experience. About 30 minutes later, the bride and groom made their way to each of the 40 tables, personally thanking their parents, guests, and friends for joining and sharing in their happiness. Their radiant smiles and joy filled the room, deepening the bond of everyone present.
To end the evening, the newlyweds cut their wedding cake. In this special moment, both families expressed their heartfelt thanks to all in attendance. It was a meaningful close to the celebration, full of joy, connection, and best wishes for the newlyweds’ future.
